  • All-Day Travel: The cost of the Afternoon Tea Experience includes all-day travel on our regular train services. Explore more of the railway at your leisure before or after your tea, making the most of your visit to Tanfield Railway. Please make sure you are at East Tanfield station for the time booked for your Afternoon Tea.

  • Your Afternoon Tea Train Experience begins from and returns to East Tanfield station, post code – DH9 9UY
  • Due to limited space and safety concerns we are unable to provide additional seating. All passengers including children must be seated. We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 5. Please note that dogs (except assistance dogs) are not allowed in the afternoon tea carriage.
  • This event is strictly pre-booked only. No tickets will be available on the day.
