Anything that can run, will run! Join us for the return of our popular Run It Gala on 19th and 20th October 2024. All of our operational home fleet steam locomotives will be in service hauling various trains and rolling stock… there’ll also be the appearance of some of our diesel locomotives too!
An intensive timetable will be in operation allowing visitors to travel behind our amazing collection of historic industrial locomotives! Experience how coal miners went to work on board our colliery passenger trains, watch coal waggon shunting in Marley Hill yard, and see our demonstration coal and freight trains recreating the sights, sounds and smells of days gone by.
